§ 70237. Anesthesia Service Equipment and Supplies.

- (a) There shall be adequate and appropriate equipment for the delivery of anesthesia and postanesthesia recovery care.(1) The anesthetist shall check the readiness, availability, and cleanliness of all equipment used prior to the administration of the anesthetic agents.(2) At least the following equipment shall be provided in the postanesthesia recovery room:(A) Cardiac monitor, with pulse rate meter, in the ratio of 1 monitor for each two (2) patients.(B) D. C. defibrillator.(C) Mechanical positive pressure breathing apparatus.(D) Stripchart electrocardiographic recorder.(E) Sphygmomanometer.(F) Crash cart, or equivalent, with appropriate supplies and drugs for emergency use.
