§ 4827. Painting and Signs.

- (a) Underground pipe and tubing and outdoor ferrous pipe and tubing shall be covered or painted with a suitable material for protection against corrosion.(b) All oxygen pipe lines shall be painted one color, preferably green, and all fuel gas pipes a different color. Where more than one fuel gas is employed, the pipe lines supplying the different gases shall be painted distinctive colors.(c) A color chart indicating the colors employed for this purpose shall be prominently displayed.(d) Signs clearly establishing the location and identity of section shut-off valves shall be provided.HISTORY1.
