§ 2810. Locked Rooms, Vaults, or Enclosures.

- (a) The entrances to enclosures containing exposed high-voltage energized parts shall be kept locked, except where such entrances are at all times under the observation of a qualified attendant. Access doors or gates to rooms, vaults, or fenced enclosures containing electrical equipment shall be readily opened from the inside without the use of a key.(b) The type of enclosure used in a given case shall be designed and constructed according to the hazards associated with the installation.HISTORY1.
