§ 2562.7. Motor Controllers.

- Motor controllers may be located outside the spaces otherwise required by this Article, provided they are in enclosures with doors or removable panels capable of being locked closed and the disconnecting means is located adjacent to or is an integral part of the motor controller. Motor controller enclosures for escalators or moving walks may be located in the balustrade on the side located away from the moving steps or moving treadway. If the disconnecting means is an integral part of the motor controller, it shall be operable without opening the enclosure.HISTORY1. New section filed 5-5-2008; operative 5-5-2008.
