§ 1920. General Requirements.

- (a) The employer shall be responsible for the development of a fire protection program to be followed throughout all phases of the construction work; and he shall provide for the fire fighting equipment as specified in this Article. As fire hazards occur, there shall be no delay in providing the necessary fire protection and/or prevention equipment.HISTORY1. Note: In cases where orders of local jurisdiction are more restrictive, those orders shall prevail.(b) A safe and unobstructed access to all available fire fighting equipment shall be maintained at all times.(c) All fire fighting equipment, provided by the employer, shall be conspicuously located or the location conspicuously marked.(d) All fire fighting equipment shall be maintained in operating condition.
