§ 8375. Forges.

- (a) Forges shall not be operated in peak tanks, fuel tanks, chain lockers, or under raised decks, nor shall they be operated in cargo spaces under or between decks.(b) Forges shall not be located on staging but shall be located on specially constructed platforms clear of such staging. These special platforms shall be equipped with standard guardrails and toeboards.(c) Hot rivets shall not be thrown over open hatches or manholes, nor shall they be thrown over the heads of employees.(d) Pneumatic passers shall have stops at both ends.HISTORY1.
