§ 7138. Attaching Hoisting Cable to Hoisting Conveyance -Safety Hook.

- (a) (19-75) No open hook shall be used with a shaft conveyance in hoisting, but some form of safety hook or shackle shall be used.(b) In all shafts where men are hoisted or lowered, an emergency sling double clevis pin, or other attachment acceptable to the Division shall be used from the cable to the conveyance, so that should the clevis pin break, the emergency attachment will prevent the conveyance from falling.
