Division 6. California Community Colleges |
Chapter 8. Construction |
Subchapter 1.5. Energy and Resource Conservation |
§ 57060. Legislative Findings, Declarations and Intent; Energy Conservation.
Latest version.
- The Board of Governors finds and declares that it is in the interest of the state and of the people thereof for the state to aid community college districts in finding cost-effective methods of conserving energy in buildings maintained by the districts. The Board of Governors also finds that while many districts may desire to participate in energy conservation programs designed to reduce the steadily rising costs of meeting the energy needs of district buildings, that the costs involved in improving existing facilities to become more energy efficient are often prohibitive. It is the intent of the Board of Governors in adopting this regulation to encourage community college districts to retrofit buildings so as to conserve energy and reduce the costs of supplying energy.HISTORY1.
