§ 76871. Developmental Program Services -Postural Supports.

- (a) Postural supports are devices other than orthopedic braces used to assist clients to achieve proper body alignment and balance.(b) Postural supports shall be designed and applied in such a manner so that they can be speedily removed in case of emergency.(c) Postural supports shall be designed and applied:(1) Under the supervision of a physical or occupational therapist.(2) In accordance with principles of proper body alignment, with concern for circulation and allowance for change of position.(3) To improve a client's mobility and independent functioning.(d) Facilities shall have written policies and procedures concerning the use of postural supports.
