§ 1404. Health Care Staff Qualifications.

- (a) The health administrator shall, at the time of recruitment for health care positions, develop education and experience requirements that are consistent with the community standard and the needs of the facility population.(b) In all juvenile facilities providing on-site health care services, the health administrator, in cooperation with the facility administrator, shall establish policy and procedures to assure that State licensure, certification, or registration requirements and restrictions that apply in the community, also apply to health care personnel who provide services to minors.(c) Appropriate credentials shall be on file at the facility, or in another central location where they are available for review. Policy and procedures shall provide that these credentials are periodically reviewed and remain current.(d) The health administrator shall assure that position descriptions and health care practices require that health care staff receive the supervision required by their license and operate within their scope of practice.HISTORY1.
