§ 2220.26. Catastrophic Medical Expense Benefits.

- CATASTROPHIC MEDICAL EXPENSE BENEFITSA policy, or rider, shall be deemed to provide catastrophic major medical expense benefits, and shall be deemed of real economic value and not subject to Sections 2220.15 through 2220.24, if it would otherwise qualify as providing major medical expense benefits under Section 2220.25 and (1) has an aggregate maximum benefit of not less than $25,000 per covered person, and (2) includes benefits for all of the items listed in Section 2220.25 (k) (1) through (k) (6) for an aggregate maximum of not less than $5,000.
